This 150 page, soft cover book (pdf) was produced by the Zen Nihon Naginata Renmei. It is a guide, both for beginners and practicing Naginataka, for preparation, self study, and revision. An easy to follow pictorial type format facilitates understanding.

Hagakure – Hagakure (meaning In the shadow the Leaves or Hidden Leaves), is a practical and spiritual guide for a warrior, drawn from a collection of commentaries by the samurai, Yamamoto Tsunetomo.
The Book of Five Rings – (五輪書 Go Rin No Sho) is a text on kenjutsu and the martial arts in general, written by the samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi circa 1645.
The Unfettered Mind – The Unfettered Mind is a three-part treatise on Buddhist philosophy and martial arts written by Takuan Soho, a Japanese monk of the Rinzai sect. The title translates roughly to The Mysterious Records of Immovable Wisdom.
